February 3, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
It’s growing (and not just the plants)! Plenty of people are hearing about this fun place and you’re next. Come help install a native plant trail mini-park near the entry to the fish hatchery area and do something lasting for the environment. The mini-park will become a public community resource with interpretive markers and a kiosk. Lots of folks will be returning to visit ‘their’ bush/flower/grass they planted.
Tasks on this date will be given under the direction of a UCSB project manager, such as planting, watering and weeding, installing trail or parking material or other jobs in the area.
Pls wear long pants and closed shoes that can get dirty! Bring a spade or shovel (if possible) with your name tagged and water and snack.
8:30 – Optional hatchery walk and wildlife peek in the Santa Clara River.
9:00 – 12:00 trail build. Coffee and homemade goodies provided.
All ages welcome, 14 and under accompanied by adult. Directions: Route 126 East or West to Fish Hatchery Road.
RSVP please to Nina Danza, Sierra Club leader at email@example.com
Hope to see you there!
